REVIEW: BENEFIT HELLO FLAWLESS FOUNDATION

I've heard quite mixed reviews about this foundation in the blogger world, but decided i needed to try it out for myself to gather my own opinion; so i found myself at the benefit counter, getting my colour matched and my purse out!

The foundation currently retails at £26.50 (which i believe has increased in price for some reason) for 30ml, so it is on the pricey side. It claims to be an oil-free fomula that will leave a natural, healthy finish and brighten your skin. It also has an SPF 25 protection as well which makes it usable all year round. Although i don't need much coverage so a light amount would be perfect for me, it is supposedly a build-able coverage foundation allowing you to choose the amount you want.

Benefit offer the foundation in 9 shades, and as usual match one to your skin colour if you buy directly at the counter. I was matched with the shade 'honey', which i feel may be a little bit too dark for me considering i am quite pale, however, i do have fake tan on at the moment which may explain why. I'll just have to maintain the fake tan so it matches my skin tone for now, although summer is coming fast so it will hopefully be a perfect match for a natural tan.

I have to say, i really like the consistency of this foundation. The liquid itself is quite thin and creamy, enabling it to blend flawlessly in to the skin. I use a buffing brush, which i think allows it to set better than your fingers as you can really work it in to your skin, leaving a really natural look.
Of course, i am also a fan of the foundation packaging, as i am with all benefit products. Its matte sheer plastic bottle allows you to see how much foundation is left as it rises with every pump. I think this is so handy as in the past i've ended up giving up on other products that mislead you and pretend to be empty, meaning you buy another one when really there's still a good few pumps left in it that you just can't get out.

Overall, i am impressed with this foundation. I love how it looks on my skin, making it appear dewy yet matte at the same time. For me, i have found that a little does go a long way with this product, this might just be because i don't need a lot of coverage so i only need to use a little bit, or that it works this way for everyone. If you're tempted to try it, i would definitely recommend it. Let me know if you have tried it before, or if you have any other favourite benefit products i should try.
